About Me!
I am Amber and I teach yoga in Norwich and online. My yoga classes are open and welcoming to all. I aim to bring calm to people's busy lives through movement, breath and relaxation.
I first tried yoga for fitness reasons and soon found how it helped to quieten my busy mind. When I fell pregnant with my first child yoga really helped to ease my anxiety and stress. There was no going back! After returning to work as a Primary School teacher I decided to change career and trained in teaching Pregnancy Yoga, Baby Postnatal Yoga and Children's Yoga with Zenmuma and Zenkids. To enhance my teaching I embarked on a 200 hour course in 2021 with Atma Yoga which was topped up to 300 hours in 2022. I have embarked on further training with Rosie Moore and keep up to date with First Aid, Mental Health First Aid and Safeguarding. I am DBS checked.
My teaching is mainly inspired by Swami Atma Gyanam Saraswati's style of Bhava Yoga and Hatha Yoga and the wheel of the year. I have learned much from my Pre and postnatal teachers Jackie Heffer and Rosie Moore, and my kids yoga from Zenkids, Rainbow Yoga and my own children! My classes involve movement, breath and meditation, weaving yoga philosophy into the weekly themes.
I enjoy spending time in nature and find it very grounding. I love to bring elements of the seasons and the world around us into my teaching. Yoga is about more than the one class a week, it is how we live our lives every day.
